Coffees On Offer:

Coffee Blends, Singles And Deals

We offer five espresso blends, all year round. The Seasonal obviously changes, approximately quarterly. The Guatemala Blend, Seasonal and Climpson Estate work for a strong flavour in filter/plunger. The Baron and Sidamo-Daterra are designed to work with long milky drinks, or for the Southern Italian espresso flavour as a shot. Single origins, subscriptions and sampler packs are also in this section.

Climpson & Sons Seasonal Espresso Blend

Our changing Seasonal Espresso Blend allows us to use beans that are at their optimum, as we select interesting coffees that are two to three months out from their respective harvest and are landing in the UK rested and ready to roast.

Climpson Estate Espresso Blend
Our Kenya-led blend, sweet and floral… the perfect roast for plunger drinkers. Comprised of two ethically sourced single estate coffees, hence the name. Theres some lovely acidity but not as much as you would expect from a blend so high in Kenyan coffee.

Sumatra Wahana Natural
A 460 hectare farm with half given to coffee and the rest left for vegetables and rainforest. This coffee is naturally processed, meaning partially washed to remove pulp before an extended sun-drying and hulling, resulting in a broad flavour profile. High altitude of 1155 masl contributes to cup quality.

Decaf Brasil Swiss Water Process

DecafThis is a Swiss water process decaf that has a rich and smooth taste. With a full body and medium acidity, this coffee has hints of milk chocolate and plenty of sweetness. Roasted to cut through longer milk drinks with an espresso base, and produces a medium-strength coffee in filter, cafetiere etc.

The Baron Espresso Blend

Peru - Tambopata Coffee - Cecovasa Co-OpAvailable throughout London in some cafes using Climpson & Sons, at long last we bring this espresso blend to you in our webshop. This three bean blend is toward the stronger/darker end of the spectrum, for those that prefer it that way.

The Sidamo/Daterra Espresso Blend
Our Summer Espresso 2011 proved very popular, and we have kept it on until further notice, renamed to reflect the ingredients. A bold blend, perfect for milk-based beverages and as a mid-strength espresso shot. Rainforest Alliance Certified.

Guatemala Blend Medium Roast
We have married a selection of sustainable single estate Guatemalan and Brasilian coffees and roasted them to the sweet spot for filter and plunger lovers. The result is a complex, sweet and aromatic flavour experience, with distinct nutty and floral characteristics.

Peru Alto Inambari Lot 5 Winner
The High Altitude Coffee Project aims at selecting the best coffees grown above 1800m within the Cecovasa co-op of 4,564 small producers. Lot 5 is from Leoncio Parades Mamani, in the Camaron sector of the Alto Inambari district. Cup descriptors: fruity, full-bodied, peppery, earthy, delicate acidity.

Brazil Daterra Estate Medium Roast
If you use plunger, stovetop or filter and like a smooth coffee with medium body that sits well with milk (yes, you are allowed to take milk with your coffee!), you should give this a go. Also great as a single espresso, provided you take the time to “dial” the grind to extract slowly.

Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Oromia Co-op
One of the world’s classic coffees, packed with wonderful orange and floral notes. The body is tea-like, with a milk chocolate finish. Roasted light to highlight the subtleties, perfect in filter or for a straight fruity espresso. The Oromia Co-op are doing wonderful things with their earnings, creating a sustainable future for thousands of small farm owners.

Kenya Peaberry Tatu Estate Filter Roast
We love Kenyan coffees in their many expressions, so hand-selecting peaberry beans seems like a great idea! We love to drink this cooled right down, which seems to highlight the blackcurrant note. From a very small producer, we have secured enough of this coffee to have it in our range well into 2012.

Big Beans!!!
Maragogype, Pacamara, Maracatu … these are names for subspecies of arabica that grow larger cherry seeds (aka coffee beans) than the average-sized variety (such as typica or bourbon). The raw bean has an almost-blue colour as opposed to the usual green, and produce wonderful flavours reflecting the terroir they are grown in.
